Comments in the XML template
In XML templates, comments can be written in three different ways, as shown in the example below. Comments are ignored during processing and serve only to help the template developer with development and maintenance of the template.00
XML comments
All three formats serve the same purpose - they allow developers to include explanatory notes, documentation, or temporary annotations within the template code. These comments are completely ignored by the template processor and have no effect on the output or functionality. They exist solely as a development aid to make the code more readable, maintainable, and easier to understand for anyone working on the template. The choice between one of them may depend on the specific template engine being used or personal/team preferences for consistency within the codebase.
